Slow Food Melbourne Stallholders

Become a Stallholder

Join a community of growers, makers and producers who believe food should be Good, Clean and Fair. Our stallholders sell directly to the people who value what they grow and make, across four monthly markets in Melbourne's inner west: Edgewater, West Footscray, Yarraville and Spotswood. Our shoppers come back month after month, building relationships with the producers they trust and returning for the food they love.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need organic certification?

No, but we want a clear, honest account of how you produce. Certification is one way to demonstrate it; a transparent explanation of your methods is another.

What are the stall fees?

Stall fees help cover the cost of running the markets. Current fees are provided after you submit an application and are structured to remain affordable for small producers.

Can I trial a single market?

We occasionally offer casual spots to producers new to the markets. Please mention this in your application.

I produce from a home kitchen, can I apply?

Yes, home-based food businesses are welcome, provided you have the appropriate food safety registration for your production type, and that you comply with Victoria's Department of Health food safety requirements.

How far in advance should I apply?

As early as possible, popular food categories tend to fill quickly.
